Republicans have maintained a narrow lead in the battle to gain control of the Senate, according to recent polls.
Some states have shown a solid Democratic lead while others remain at a virtual dead heat that could still win the liberals control of the chamber. But it seems that's not the case in the last few days leading to elections.

A recent ABC News Political poll found solid Democratic leads in seven states namely, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Massachussetts, New Jersey, New Mexico and Rhode Island. On the other hand, solid GOP leads were found in 13 states in Alabama, Idaho, Maine, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Wyoming.
In toss up states, Democrats seem to have fallen behind in races in Colorado and Iowa although it seems they've advanced in Georgia. In Kansas, GOP incumbent Pat Roberts is intensifying efforts to win against an independent heavily backed by Democrats while the Louisiana race is believed to head to a runoff.
Recent polls in Colorado have shown GOP Rep. Cory Gardner ahead of Democratic Sen. Mark Udall who lost his lead earlier in the fall. The NBC/Marist poll and NYT/CBS/YouGov survey both published on Sunday found a likely voter lead for Gardner 46-45 and 47-46 percent, respectively. Both percentage points are within the margin of error.
In Iowa, Republican incumbent Jodi Ernst maintains a three-point lead consistent with an earlier NBC/Marist survey over Democrat Bruce Braley 49-46 percent while a recent New York Times/CBS/YouGov poll found both candidates tied at 44 percent.
In red state Kansas, polls initially showed GOP Sen. Pat Roberts falling behind independent Greg Orman after the Democratic candidate withdrew from the race. Democrats have since then supported Orman who maintained a one-point advantage over Roberts 45-44 percent based on Sunday's NBC/Marist poll.
But it seems Roberts' renewed Republican-backed campaigns have paid off as he gained four points in the NYT/CBS/YouGov survey.
Democrats may still win in Georgia where Michelle Nunn seems to have gained a notable lead over GOP David Perdue, according to several polls published recently. However, the NYT/CBS/YouGov survey found Nunn still lagging at 47-44.
Republicans need a net of six seats to gain a Senate majority. So far, nine Democratic incumbents are in danger of losing theirs.
