Tony Romo, quarterback of the National Football League's (NFL) Dallas Cowboys will go in for a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scan on Thursday to check his bruised back that he damaged in the 20-17 overtime loss to the Washington Redskins.
Romo sustained the injury in the third quarter of the game after he got sacked by linebacker Keenan Robinson.

Robinson threw a knee that landed on Romo's surgically repaired back with 7:50 to play in the third quarter. Romo stayed on the ground for several minutes and was then brought to the locker room.
After taking a painkilling shot, Romo was able to return late in the fourth quarter.
While there is some considerable caution and worry, Romo expressed his optimism in facing the Arizona Cardinals this Sunday.
He went on to say how losing is hard, and that it's the worst thing that one could go through. However, the Cowboys will need to figure out what went wrong and what they can do right in order to move forward.
"Obviously with the injury aspect of it, you feel like you may have dodged one from that regard," he added. "That's why you do all the things you do to hopefully withstand stuff like that."
This was not the first time that Romo returned from a back injury. He had aggravated his back earlier against the Washington Redskins last December, but he came back and threw a touchdown pass to DeMarco Murray that won the game.
Five days later though, he needed to go to surgery to repair his herniated disk.
While he could not pull off the victory against the Redskins this time, Coach Jason Garrett was still confident about Romo.
His medical and coaching staff have altered his training schedule for this season so he can strengthen his back more.
