Japanese electronics manufacturer Sony is set to update its latest-generation console, the PlayStation 4, Tuesday, which would give owners a variety of improvements, new features and other surprises.

Sony promoted the update in a blog post published Monday and said that it would be the biggest upgrade in software the console has received since its release in November 2013.

"This update adds unique, forward-looking features like Share Play, and addresses some of the most highly requested features from the community, including YouTube integration, USB music player, ability to find players you may know, sorting options for PS4′s game library, and themes that change the look of your home screen," Sony said. "This is the biggest update we've delivered to date for PS4."

PS4 owners will be able to access a number of new voice commands to instruct the console on what to do. One can just say "PlayStation" to activate the voice command feature and then say "All commands" to see a full list of orders one can bark at the platform. The user can talk to the console using a PS4 camera , the included wired headset or a different but compatible headset.

Before the update, users can upload and share gameplay movie clips through Facebook. After updating, however, the user can also directly share the clips on video sharing site YouTube. On the PlayStation's upload page, a new option for sending videos to YouTube will appear.

The gamer can cut parts of the clip to shorten it, enter the desired title and description of the video and upload it.

Live streaming, which lets users watch others play games as they are playing, was also improved by Sony. Friends' gameplay videos can also be streamed by simply tapping into the new category called "Featured."
