According to reports, Robert Downey Jr. was interested in playing the role of Larry "Doc" Sportello but the part was later on given to Phoenix because the casting directors decided that Downey wouldn't exactly fit as he looks older for the character.
The movie's music will all be by Jonny Greenwood, lead guitarist on the British band Radiohead. The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra will also be a part of the music project as they team up with Greenwood's compositions. Fans will also hear an unreleased track of the band play as credits are rolling at the end of the film.
