Mark Wahlberg is back to doing what he does best and that is none other than playing tough and aggressive in his movies. He will star in this new crime drama movie called The Gambler, which is set to be released on November 10, 2014 in the United States.
Other actors in the film are Michael K. Williams, Jessica Lange and Brie Larson. It is written by William Monahan and it was adapted from an old film written by James Toback in 1974 of the same title. The November 4 release date is just limited because it is meant for screening on the American Film Institute Film Festival. But eager fans could actually pay to view it starting on January 2, 2015 for its worldwide release.

Mark Wahlberg will be this professor who teaches literature and at the same time, he has some gambling issue. This makes him connected to gangs which leads him to a lot of trouble.
The production started on January of this year in Los Angeles. The casting took time for the producers and casting directors to finish but it was all worth it as they found the ones who fit perfectly for their respective roles. It was actually supposed to be directed by Martin Scorsese but he didn't pursue it and instead was passed the project to Rupert Wyatt (Rise of the Planet of the Apes) since he already was interested from the beginning to work with the movie.
Critics are expecting a lot from this film since it is going to be starred by one of the most successful actors in the industry partnered with a good director. The trailer was already released last October 22 and it has gathered a good amount of positive feedbacks.
For paying movie goers, catch it on January 2, 2015 but if you are in the United States, you can already see it on November 10, 2014.
