Hong Kong actor Lawrence Ng admits that divorce may be the only solution left for his marriage with mainland actress Shi Yang Zi  as they were unable to settle their differences for the last four years.

It seems that Ng's marital problems run deeper that he has previously stated as he admits that divorce might just be the solution for his unresolved problems with his wife which was revealed to have spanned four years.

According to media reports, the actor has allegedly shared his thoughts about ending his souring marriage with Shi. Ng is said to have taken to Weibo to air his grievances about his relationship with the actress.

"As a man, I did not deal with my marriage properly," the actor wrote on his post. "I cannot escape the blame for not shouldering this responsibility."

Furthermore, he stated that he didn't want to risk his daughter's wellbeing by filing for a divorce, but he claimed that it seemed like the most suitable option for him and Shi.

The 50-year old actor expressed his sorrow over the matter, saying that the only thing he can do is to raise his daughter with Shi and strive to lessen her emotional pain. To end his post, he thanked his friends who showed concern over the matter.

On the other hand, speculations say that Shi and Ng were unable to resolve their problems as husband and wife since the actress wanted to pursue her acting career in China again.

Shi has once stated in her Weibo account that she wanted to act in dramas again and doesn't want to depend on Ng's fame in order to re-establish her acting career.

Ng has replied to her post, saying that he understood why she would want to work again, adding that she had been very young when she became pregnant with their daughter.

Ng and Shi were said to have fallen for each other back in 2004. The couple has then decided to get married in 2007 despite their 21-year age gap and has had a daughter who is now six years old.
