The Blacklist is basically about a former fugitive named Raymond "Red" Reddington (played by James Spader) who eventually turned himself in at the FBI. He did it because he believes that he could team up with the FBI in catching a lot of criminals specifically terrorists that have been on their wanted file. Red made agreements with the FBI and only to work with Elizabeth Keen (played by Megan Boone) who is in charge in profiling the suspects.
He was successful enough to put to jail some of the projects he was assigned. But his main focus is those criminals who are highly dangerous and are committing international crimes. The ones that the FBI is not even familiar of are the ones he put on a blacklist.
On its 6th episode of the 2nd season, the show's story involves a human trafficking crime. Every episode just becomes even more intriguing because it leaves the audience surprised by the end of it on how Reddington solves the case. Viewers also get an idea on how they could possibly get out of trouble if some criminal has captured them.
The show is smartly written and well executed by the actors. Catch The Blacklist on NBC, Monday nights at 10.
