Netflix has their version of HBO's "Game of Thrones" and it is called "Marco Polo." This period drama series is airing on December 12, 2014. The setting is during the time of Kublai Khan so viewers could expect a lot of Asian action going on here.
Created by John Fusco, this show is about to make you love history all over again. Lorenzo Richelmy will play the lead role of Marco Polo.

This upcoming TV drama series focuses on the life of Marco Polo in the era of Kublai Khan. The company already released a trailer of the show and it is already looking good. There is going to be a lot of sex scenes but most definitely the audience can expect a lot of action to happen.
Marco Polo (1254-1324) was an Italian merchant and adventure seeker who was one of the first Europeans to travel across Asia. The show revolves around his journey in China, which would give viewers a glimpse of the relationships he had.
Critics are already saying a lot of positive notes from its trailer alone and couldn't help but be reminded of "Game of Thrones" due to some of the scenes the trailer has shown.
The show was shot in three different locations namely Malaysia, Kazakhstan and Italy. One of the stuntmen wasn't able to make it to the set when they were filming it because he died, along with the other passengers on the Malaysia Airline Flight MH 370 that crashed earlier this year.
Don't forget the release date of Marco Polo, on December 12, 2014, only on Netflix.
