Joan Rivers' death has been an emotional event in the entertainment industry. Now, her daughter Melissa Rivers is planning to file for a wrongful death lawsuit against the facility where the late comedian experienced cardiac arrest that later on resulted to coma and eventually led to her death. Apparently, there are records showing that the clinic's procedure could be the reason of Joan's death.

Melissa is making sure that she has the right lawyers for the job. She has hired a New York law firm that is known for winning cases like this. According to reports, it is the same firm that handled the Lockerbie case.
Medical reports said Joan Rivers' death was due to complications from a surgery. It was in August of this year that Joan Rivers went to the clinic to undergo what she thought was just a routine procedure to cure her acid reflux and help her get her voice back since it had become hoarse.
While on surgery, she experienced lack of oxygen that eventually lead to her cardiac arrest. The Law Firm of Gair, Gair, Conason, Steigman, Maloof, Bloom and Rubinowitz will be the one handling the case. According to Ben Rubinowitz, a well-known brain-injury lawyer in New York, they will be doing their best to win it and they are always in touch with their client.
Joan had the heart attack on August 28 and eventually died on September 4, 2014.
