T-Pain Disses Kanye West’s Auto-Tune

T-Pain who is also known as the "King of Auto Tune" thinks that Kanye West should not share the same title nor be part of "Auto Tune Royalty".
The singer was quoted saying "Kanye West uses auto-tune, but he doesn't use it properly, he makes great music but he just does not know how to correctly use auto-tune."

According to T-Pain the main issue is that Kanye does not know the order of operations when it comes to auto tuning his voice. "When people hear auto- tune, they know that it's used for a crutch, but I use it to turn my voice into an instrument. But, don't get me wrong because there are guys out there like Jamie Foxx and Chris Brown who uses it correctly, the others just don't know how."
The singer then opens up further about his feelings on West and his use of auto-tune saying "What Kanye does is he records his voice without auto tune first then he adds it after he's done recording. So, he doesn't know how it's going to come out because we cannot catch our mistakes before it happens. Sometimes it gets a little wobbly and things like that.."
Pain, has actually helped West in the past, specifically with the latter's album "8o8's and Heartbreak" and they actually used auto-tune. Pain praised the album but added that he had done a lot of work on it so that album was an exception when it comes to West and his auto-tune skills.
