Cleveland star LeBron James confirmed of the birth of his third child and first daughter named Zhuri a week after the baby was born on Wednesday.

On Oct. 22, James did not play in Cleveland's last preseason game against the Memphis Grizzlies at the FedEx Forum in Tennessee, in fact, he not even sitting on the team's bench during the game which supports the speculations that LeBron's wife, Savannah, had given birth to Zhuri in Akron.

But neither James, his family nor the Cleveland Cavaliers had anything to say publicly about the birth until the Cavs practice at The Q where LeBron was interviewed by reporters in preparation for their first regular season game in the NBA against the New York Knicks.

"Uh, yeah, that's a question you guys already knew the answer to," said James.

The star forward and his wife already have two sons, LeBron James Jr. and Bryce Maximus James.

 "It's a lot different, for me, you give rough love to your boys and you give soft love to your daughter. I understand that and I look forward to the journey of all three of them growing up," added James.

James proposed to his high school sweetheart of 12 years, Savannah Brinson, on December 31, 2011 at a party celebrating LeBron's birthday as well as New Year's Eve.

The two got married last year on Sept. 14 at the Grand Del Mar Hotel, north of downtown San Diego where former Miami Heat teammates Chris Bosh and Dwayne Wade attended as well as some prominent celebrities such as Jay-Z and Beyonce who both flew in just to sing their 2003 hit "Crazy in Love" on his wedding.

The couple spent their honeymoon in Rome, Italy.

James returned to Cleveland after gathering two NBA Championship rings in Miami and hopes to lead the Cavaliers to its first ever NBA title.
