This was Yang's first time to compete in a World Series event. The rookie had posted the highest international score for this season, qualifying on 598.70. He then went past 600 and won on 616.50.

For China, taking home two gold medals also gives the country all the eight titles in London. This is the first time China had this achievement after it won seven in Beijing and six in Dubai.

Yang took the title from world champion Qiu Bo. He also rested Cao Yuan, a World Series gold medalist in London. Chen Aisen, Yang's teammate, scored 553.25 for the silver. Ukrainian diver Oleksandr Bondar took home the bronze award. American Olympic champion David Boudia ranked fourth.

Chen, 21, previously won in both the 10m platform at the 2012 FINA World Cup and the 10m synchro at the London 2o12 Olympic Games. She took the World Series title from her teammate Liu Huixia by taking the gold on 400.50.

Liu, 16, had previously won in Beijing and Dubai in this season. Unfortunately, she dropped out of the medal chase during her back 3.5 somersaults with tuck to finish fourth on 368.75. Canadian Meaghan Benfeito came behind Chen in the medal chase after winning silver on 394.75. This was her first individual award for this season.

Pandelela Rinong Pamg of Malaysia won bronze on 81.60 during her final dive to claim the medal on 380.70. She got the same result during her previous visit to London when she competed in the Olympic Games.
