Cara Delevingne Considered for Harley Quinn Role in 'Suicide Squad'

Rumor has it that fashion model slash actress Cara Delevingne could possibly be playing the role of Harvey Quinn, more popularly known as Harley Quinn in the upcoming film adaptation of 'Suicide Squad'.

The 22-year old British model, who was recently announced as the face of Topshop's autumn campaign, recently posted a photo of herself as Harley Quinn on her Instagram account which allegedly caught the attention of Warner Bros. executives, also sparking rumors that she is being considered for a part in 'Suicide Squad'.

It has been reported that Delevingne has been lined-up for the role of Harley Quinn, who is famously known to be Joker's accomplice in the Batman stories.

A media outlet, Latino Review, a website which is famous for its track record of accurate exclusives, posted that one reporter, El Mayimbe, got tipped off by some sources that Warner Bros. is looking into Delevingne to play the role of the villainess in 'Suicide Squad'.

Furthermore, the early drafts of said film allegedly did not include Harley Quin. However, plans seemed to have changed.

On the other hand, David Ayer, who directed the box office hit 'Fury', is also jumping in to 'Suicide Squad' as a writer and director.

Other stars who are rumored to be playing roles in the film include Ryan Gosling, Ton Hardy, Will Smith and Margot Robbie. Jesse Eisenberg, who will be playing Lex Luthor in 'Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice', is also said to be joining the cast.

'Suicide Squad' is said to be scheduled for release in August of 2016, however, it is still subject to change.

On the one hand, besides said film, Delevingne is also believed to be considered for a role in the fifth installment of 'Pirates of the Caribbean' and will be starring in 'The Face of an Angel' alongside Kate Beckinsale and Daniel Bruhl.
