As opposed to the rumors circulating that Shi Yang Zi is involved with another man, which Lawrence Ng refuted, their impending divorce allegedly is said to have been caused by the Hong Kong actor's involvement with 2012 Miss Hong Kong first runner up Jacqueline Wong.
Recently, Ng has announced that divorcing his wife, Mainland Chinese actress Shi Yang Zi, is inevitable after they have failed to settle their differences in the past four years. However, rumors that Ng is involved with former beauty queen Jacqueline Wong has surfaced.

It was initially reported that Shi wanted to pursue her career in Mainland China again, thus causing the rift between her and Ng, but sources are now reporting that the actor is involved with Wong whom he collaborated with in the currently-airing drama "Tomorrow is Another Day."
According to media reports, the actor, who plays the older brother of Wong's character, has been seen behaving rather attentively towards the actress whenever they are on set and is also said to be praising his younger co-star very often.
When asked to react to the rumors, Wong just laughed at the reports and refuted it, saying that she and Ng do not contact each other outside of their work.
"He portrays my elder brother in the series, so we are more familiar with each other as a result," says the 25-year old actress. She then added that she does not have any intentions of being romantically involved to a man who is already married.
On the other hand, Ng, who was recently spotted taking his daughter out for a shopping trip, explained to the media that he and his wife have been living separately for quite some time now.
"We've tried to make our marriage work, but to no avail," he said, also explaining that they've decided to break up in amicable terms and that there is no third party involved.
