Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin Split, Closeness With Gwyneth Paltrow a Factor

It went away as fast as it started. Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin have called it quits, after dating for only a little less than four months.
A source reported that it was the "Hunger Games" star who initiated the split.
"Jen is the one who broke it off with Chris," the source said.

"She was tired of the spotlight on their relationship and she also thought that Chris and Gwyneth were a little too close for comfort. It was an odd situation for her," the source added.
The Academy award winner, 24, and the Grammy-winning frontman of Coldplay, 37, started seeing each other just shortly after the actress broke up with her "X-Men: Days of Future Past" co-star, Nicholas Hoult.
The two were constantly published about despite them being very low-key, often preferring date nights at Martin's home in Malibu. Reports about Chris maintaining a friendship with ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow often headlined.
An example of this was the recent family dinner the two had in which the Coldplay singer met up with Lawrence after that.
"It was kind of serious but also not really in a sense," the insider said of the former couple's relationship.
"It was really just [Jennifer] having fun and living in the moment, enjoying time with someone she likes, but [Chris and Gwyneth's] close relationship got to her in the end and she felt like it wasn't worth it."
The source, however, added that, "It's too early to know what will develop in any of this."
