LeBron James and wife Savannah Brinson recently broke the news that there is a new addition to their family - baby girl Zhuri Nova. James confirmed Wednesday the news that the baby was born last week.

"It's great. We have a great family, man, and my family is happy," said LeBron of his wife, Savannah, sons LeBron Jr. and Bryce Maximus, and the baby. "It's a blessing to be able to add another one to our family, and I'm going to try to keep it going."

In addition to the new baby girl, LeBron is also preparing for a new season with his new team.

Zhuri Nova was born Oct. 22 in Akron, a fact confirmed by James himself Wednesday.

James and his famiy are reportedly excited about the new addition and that "it's a lot different" having a girl around the house.

For Lebron, it wouldn't be easy having a daughter. 

"For you give rough love to your boys and you give soft love to your daughter. I understand that, and I'm looking forward to the journey of all three of them growing up," the NBA superstar told Associated Press.

Meanwhile, LeBron reportedly returned to Ohio in the summer for a re-signing with the Cavaliers after playing four seasons with Miami. According to the 29-year-old, he felt great after arriving home.

"It's been great being back home and be with my family and be with my friends," he said.

James and his new team, the Cleveland Cavaliers, will be opening the season with a Thursday home game against the New York Knicks.
