Hacken Lee and Alan Tam Open 4th Branch of The Starz Kitchen in Macau

Hong Kong stars Hacken Lee and Alan Tam opened their fourth branch of The Starz Kitchen restaurant at The City of Dreams in Macau last October 28, Tuesday.

In 2012, the singers, who have decided to become business partners, opened their very first noodle shop in Whampoa which became a big hit to the public. They've later expanded their store, opening two branches this year, one being in Causeway Bay which opened in January and another one in Shanghai.

Almot three years later, the duo has once again opened a branch of their noodle shop chain in Macau. Tam and Lee were said to have attended the grand opening of their new restaurant.

Le, who hails from Macau, expressed his gladness over finally opening a restaurant in his hometown.

On the other hand, Tam shared that their business in Shanghai was doing well, too. "People in Shanghai have been lining up for hour to get in."

Due to the success of their restaurants, media people asked the singers about their future plans. Both Tam and Lee have revealed that they are hoping to open at least 20 branches of The Starz Kitchen around the world. The business partners also shared that they hope their business would become a listed company.

Tam further revealed that by next year, the hope to open a branch in Japan. He said he hoped to promote Hong Kong's wonton noodle as the next biggest thing after ramen. He cited that Japanese ramen is very popular in Asia and said that he hopes that the Hong Kong delicacy would also achieve such fame.

With regard to the pro-democracy movement in Hong Kong, Tam said that their business has slowed down due to the protests. "Business was affected, but there's nothing we can do about it," he revealed, but also expressed his hope for the matter to be resolved.

As for their career, the singing duo also revealed that they are planning for a concert in Hong Kong which will be held next year during the Lunar New Year.
