Following the news that Taiwanese actor Kai Ko will be submitting himself under involuntary rehabilitation treatment, confirmation that his prosecution will be postponed for another two years was released last Wednesday, October 29.
Last Wednesday, it was confirmed that Ko's trial will be delayed for another two years, following his arrest and detention in Beijing, China for using marijuana. However, despite the deferred schedule of his trial, he would still need to comply with the treatment that has been required by the Taipei court subsequent to his initial court hearings.

It has previously been reported that the 23-year old actor would have to submit himself under a drug rehabilitation program that would be facilitated by the Songde branch of the Taipei City Hospital as mandated by the court.
Other than that, it has already been confirmed that Ko will be banned from Chinese media after China's State Administration of Radio, Film, and Television (SARFT) passed a regulation that artists who have committed sex and drug related crimes would be banned from Chinese media.
On the other hand, last October 29, Ko attended Taiwanese actress Ariel Lin's engagement party with his manager, Angie Chai. Despite his recent troubles, the actor's fans showed their fervent support at the venue as he smiled for the cameras.
When asked if he had mixed feelings about showing up in public again after his prosecution, Ko, who was in a good mood, said, "Why should I feel that way?"
Ko also expressed his well-wishes to Lin, who was his co-star in the upcoming film 'A Choo', further revealing that the actress has given him her new book as a present and that they have exchanged acting tips.
In addition, for the first time since the drug scandal, Ko met with his friend, actor Chen Bo Lin, at Lin's engagement party. Chen's manager stated that the two actors did not interact much during the occasion as they were seated apart from each other, but assured that they still contact each other through SMS.
