Troubled heavyweight champ Mike Tyson revealed that he was sexually abused when he was a young boy. Tyson shared that he was only 7 years old at that time.
The former boxer revealed his heartbreaking past in an interview on SiriusXM's Opie Radio show.
In a video posted by gossip site TMZ, Tyson shared "[The man] bullied me, sexually abused me and stuff...snatched me off the street. I was a little kid. Never seen him again." He stated that he didn't know the man who abused him. However, he knew that he was much older and, that he had found a way to escape from his clutches.

He shared that the abuse only happened one time.
Tyson admitted that he never reported the incident to the police and, that he had never told anyone about it before. The athlete said that he didn't feel ashamed or embarrassed about being a victim of sexual abuse, but that he just simply wanted to forget it and not talk about it further. He said that he doesn't always remember what happened, but that sometimes, he remembers it out of the blue.
Despite the trauma, Tyson shared that he doesn't know if the experience changed him and his life, but he did add that instead of wallowing in what happened, he just simply went on with his life and moved forward.
In 1992, the 48-year-old former boxer who was nicknamed "The Baddest Man on the Planet," was tried and convicted of raping a teenager. He served three years in prison for the crime.
In 2013, Tyson admitted that he continues to struggle with alcohol and drug addiction, saying, "I haven't drank or took drugs in six days, and for me that's a miracle. I've been lying to everybody else that think I was sober, but I'm not. This is my sixth day. I'm never gonna use again."
