South Korean electronics giant Samsung announced Thursday that its new smartwatch, the Galaxy Gear S, will be available in the United States starting Nov. 7.
The Gear S will come in both white and black and will be available at AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless stores. The smartwatch will also be available at Samsung Experience Shops and in Best Buy branches.

Samsung's Gear S, which was unveiled in August, sports a 2-inch Super active-matrix organic light-emitting diode screen and will run on Tizen, Samsung's mobile operating system alternative to the Android mobile OS of Google.
The wearable device also has a 1 gigahertz dual-core processor and features Nike+ Running, as well as Samsung's S Health fitness app.
The Gear S is the first smartwatch in Samsung's catalogue to be equipped with a 3G cellular radio, which means it can connect to a telecom company's network to send and receive texts and calls without requiring a paired phone in the vicinity.
This capability of the Gear S makes it stand out from every other wearable device in the market.
Apple Watch, for example, needs to remain connected and paired to an iPhone for a number of its features to be functional. Smartwatches from Motorola, LG and others are also meant to be connected to a smartphone.
Sprint is making the device available for a no-down payment deal through its Easy Pay system that lets consumers pay US$16 a month over a period of two years.
T-Mobile is offering a similar deal to customers by letting them pick up a device with no upfront payments with only US$14.58 a month for 24 months.
While Verizon has yet to announce its deals for the Samsung Gear S, AT&T will offer the smartwatch for an upfront payment US$200 with a two-year contract.
