Singer-actress Jennifer Lopez shared that she suffered emotional and mental abuse from an unnamed former lover. The 45-year old performer made the revelation in her memoir "True Love".

In her book, Lopez recounts having never being physically hit by her partner - she never got a black eye or a bloody lip - but that she knows how it feels to have her soul crushed emotionally, mentally and verbally by the person she loved.

"Every day that you don't walk out that door, every day you accept things in your partner and in yourself, is a day that you're saying, 'It's OK'," she added.

Aside from the abuse she said she suffered while in a relationship with an unnamed ex, Lopez also revealed intimate details about her previous celebrity partners, including Ben Affleck and, former husband Marc Anthony.

In the memoir, Lopez looks back at the time that she made the decision to end her marriage with the Latin singer. She remembers being at a photo shoot when all of a sudden, she had to take a breath because she was suffering from a panic attack. She was suddenly hit by the feeling that her marriage was coming to an end.

Lopez recalls that that was the time that everything seemed wonderful from the outside. She was married with two children, Emme and Maximilian; she was a judge on "American Idol" and, her single "On the Floor" was number one in record charts around the world.

She shared that although everything seemed perfect, she knew her marriage was falling apart. Lopez confessed that she was so scared, she couldn't even scream.

"In a blur of fear and panic, I looked at Benny and my mother and blurted out the words: 'I don't think I can be with Marc anymore.' Then I burst into tears," she recalled.
