GTA's Liberty City and Vice City could still be present in Xbox One and PS4, according to the game develope and publisher Take-Two Interactive.
The gaming company is still open for possibility of producing the GTA collection.
Strauss Zelnick, chairman of Take-Two Interactive Software Inc., answered the question about the repackaging of the previous GTA games such as Master Chief Collection.

"Occasionally, when we see a platform shift, we will take an old property and create an iteration of that in a very similar form for next-gen. And we wouldn't rule anything out. That would be driven by the market opportunity that we perceive, and the potential for delivering a quality release," Zelnick said.
He added that their company is driven by the desire to make their fans and consumers delighted and thrilled. Delivering the very best titles for the consumers and involving the top creative talent industry are their goals for making it seven years and counting.
However, it does not mean that Max Payne or even GTA are put into consideration for remake, but it shows that they are open for more game exploration and improvement.
Zelnick also reiterated the reasons for the delay of Grand Theft Auto V for PC until January 2015.
The company, he says, still requires more time to develop the game for the PC version to make it everything that it ought to be. They want to ensure that it is as amazing and as polished as possible.
"And while we would prefer never to change a release date, it's proven to be a good move for us in general. We have the highest Metacritic ratings in the business, and that correlates with revenue and ultimately, of course, profitability," he added.
