The NBA's Oklahoma City Thunder suffered another blow to their roster as Russell Westbrook fractured his right hand Thursday night against the Los Angeles Clippers.
With Kevin Durant suffering from a right foot fracture, many fans looked to Russell Westbrook to be able to carry the load until the superstar forward returned to action. However, Thunder fans will have to endure basketball without their two star players until the middle of December at the earliest.

In the second quarter of Thursday night's game, Westbrook went for an offensive rebound but instead hit his hand during a collision with OKC's Kendrick Perkins. Westbrook tried to fight through the pain and continue playing, but could only bare it for a couple minutes before removing himself from the game.
On his way to the locker room to receive treatment, a Clippers fan said something that clearly frustrated Westbrook. A heated argument ensued as Westbrook began screaming at the fan to the point where the security staff needed to come over and restrain him.
Westbrook's injury could certainly have an impact on the Thunder's playoffs hopes down the road. Considered to be at the top of the Western Conference before the injuries of Durant and Westbrook, the Oklahoma City Thunder has already lost its first two games of the season.
With backup point-guard Reggie Jackson also cout with an ankle injury, and the Thunder now down to just eight healthy players, it doesn't seem like their season is going to get much better until December. OKC fans will now be looking at Serge Ibaka to carry the load.
If Thunder were able to finish at the top of the Western Conference, they'd face the bottom seeds in the first round of the playoffs. However the injuries could very well cause the Thunder to find themselves finishing as a bottom seed. Meaning they'll be facing top-tier teams like the Spurs or Clippers in the first round.
