Emma Watson Dedicates Britannia Award to Pet Hamster

Emma Watson dedicated her latest award to her dead hamster Millie.

The Harry Potter Star was beaming with joy when she graced last night's Jaguar Britannia Awards at the Beverly Hilton.

The English actress was awarded by the British Academy of Film and Television Academy (BAFT) in Lost Angeles with the Britannia Award for British Artist of the Year.

In her speech, the actress said of her furry BFF's passing as a "sweet, but slightly morbid example" of how the British film community has acted as her "surrogate family."

The actress revealed that Millie suffered from fatal heart attack.

Her set decorators at Harry Potter were kind enough to create "a small mahogany hamster-sized coffin," which she said they lined with velvet and silver plaque. Millie's name, of course, was engraved in it.

Watson also took the time to take everyone at the awards ceremony, saying that they're "all very special" to her and that their "vote of confidence" was something that she really appreciated.

"Rest in peace, Millie-this one's for you," she ended her speech.

Belle star Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Ben Barnes, who played Caspian X in The Chronicles of Narnia films, presented her with the award.

Joining Watson is also a list of celebrities:

Robert Downey, Jr.  - Stanley Kubrick Britannia Award for Excellence in Film

Julia Louis Dreyfus - The Charlie Chaplin Britannia Award for Excellence in Comedy

Mike Leigh - John Schlesinger Britannia Award for Excellence in Directing
