In an interview with the Today Show, Jennifer Lopez openly discussed her relationship with Ben Affleck saying "It was my first big heartbreak." Lopez was previously married twice before she and Affleck started dating, the two had met on the set of their movie "Gigli" in 2002 and announced their engagement just four months later, the announcement turned the couple into tabloid fodder and they were dubbed "Bennifer."

Their grand wedding was postponed four days before, which they blamed on the overexposed media attention. But days later, rumors of Jennifer breaking off the engagement spread, saying that she had cold feet.
The 45-year old singer said that the split caused her to bounce back into the arms of ex-boyfriend Marc Anthony, who she ended up marrying just five months later. According to the singer herself, she had married Anthony because she needed someone who would help her get through the heartbreak caused by her split with Affleck.
"To have one of my best friends, who I actually love and have chemistry with come in and tell me that he was there for me, meant the world." Lopez says of Anthony. The two have twins together, Max and Emme, who are now six-years old.
Jennifer is not the only one who had recently spoken to the media about her relationship with Ben Affleck. Ben also talked about her recently and even said that they do email each other from time to time and that he respects her and likes her still.
