In an attempt to counter Microsoft's Surface Pro 3, Apple is rumored to release a 12-inch iPad Pro.
Rumors have surfaced that Apple is about to launch a bigger tablet with a 12.2-inch display. It's a 2-in-1 hybrid tablet-notebook convertible with custom-built detachable keyboard.
Website MacRumors reported that iPad Pro will be quite similar to Microsoft's Surface Pro 3 with 12.9-inch display, a difference of .7-inches.

Sources say with an accompanying unclear and rough illustration, indicating that it will integrate speakers and microphones on both the top and bottom edges, thus improving the audio experience of the users with audio stereo.
As for the measurement of the rumored iPad Pro, it will be thinner than the iPad Air but thicker than the iPad Air 2. It is also said to be thinner than the iPhone 6 Plus but thicker that the iPhone 6. The Surface Pro 3-like table of Apple is expected to have a depth at around 7 mm.
There's also a speculation that iPad Pro will have Intel's Core M, which is the same with Mac devices.
The iSight, Lightning connector and Touch-ID sensor will not be inlay with diamond-catted hole, but will be placed like as MacBook Air LCD panel.
The iPad Pro was supposedly set to start its mass production in December. However, with the overwhelming demand for iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus, Apple suppliers rescheduled it for early next year.
If the rumors will turn out to be true, Apple will continue its iterative cycle and underscoring the legitimacy of the 2-in-1.
iPad Pro is expected to launch on the third quarter of 2015.
