New Zealand-native Lorde shared that she was "never bullied" when she was attending school despite the fact that she was "weird" and, had her particular quirks.
The "Royals" singer did share, however, that there was a time that an overripe fruit was thrown at her and had exploded the moment it hit her. The incident didn't bother her one bit though.

"It hit me so hard in the stomach that it exploded everywhere. Look, you don't have to do anything in high school to get a rotten pear thrown at you. It's just what happens, and if you're annoyed about it, you are silly," she shared.
The 17-year old star shared with Billboard magazine that even though she has a weird way of communicating, she actually had a lot of friends in high school. Some of the most memorable times she had with her friends were when they would break into strangers' boats and, when they had Ouija board sessions to contact the dead.
Lorde shared that she lived in a beach town so breaking into boats wasn't really all that unusual. She remembered that the times she spent with her friends were special, saying that she still remembers how she felt during those moments.
"I remember that feeling so vividly, like, 'We are here. It's us against everything else,'" the singer-songwriter confessed.
Those simpler days may be over for the talented artist, however. Even before reaching the age of 20, Lorde has already won two Grammy Awards, is currently curating the soundtrack of "Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1" and has collaborated with the likes of Kanye West.
Lorde, a fan of West, managed to convince the rapper to do a remix of her song off the "Hunger Games" soundtrack, "Yellow Flicker Beat".
It wasn't easy for her to make the call, however. She said that even ordering pizza over the phone petrifies her.
"I'm the worst person ever at talking to people I don't know on the phone - I can't even order pizza. I would put off calling him. I'd say, 'It's 12:57, I'll do it at 1,'" she admitted.
