A school head in China has kissed a piglet in front of his students to keep his promise but his gesture ignited a debate whether he did it to rose to fame or set an example of always keeping one’s word.

The schoolmaster of Xianning Experimental Primary School in Hubei, Hong Yaoming, has kissed a 20 kg pig while his left hand pressing the creature’s face to open its mouth. Meanwhile, his colleagues held the tied animal with forelimbs tied off the ground.

In March, Hong promised pupils that if they had kept the school clean and quit from litter-dropping, he would kiss a pig in front of them. Hong added that awarding the students would not arouse their interest.

Hong also added that he knew a similar case of a teacher promised kissing a pig in the US if their math exams turn out great. The Chinese schoolmaster added that he has just used an easy method to carry out the moral of what he intended to impart to his students.

The story of schoolmaster Hong became a trending topic on the internet where some netizens commended his deed of keeping his promise. He was even called “Good Schoolmaster of China” after setting an example of honesty and keeping true to his word.

However, Hong was also bashed with other netizens saying that it would be unimaginable that the act of kissing a pig by a schoolmaster was witnessed by several thousand people.

Meanwhile, a student from where Hong’s hold his office said that the schoolmaster is trustable and that the act he did made the school a lot beautiful.

Other disagreements were raised including that of Professor Luo Jiaojiang from Wuhan University saying that Hong could have made other promises wherein he could teach students in another yet better way and that the act of kissing a piglet was immature for a schoolmaster.
