New Game Trailer for Assassin's Creed: Unity Set in Paris, France

The intriguing new game trailer for Assassin's Creed: Unity suggests it's set during the French Revolution.

The game series will let the players' characters explore distinct historical periods by means of an advanced computer-generated simulation known as the Animus.

There have been previous entries on Assassin's Creed that allow players to switch between one thoroughly researched historical period and a contemporary era similar to the Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China.

Caroline Miousse, a level artist on Assassin's Creed Unity, said she spent two years in modeling and building the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris for the game.

"I made some other stuff in the game, but 80 percent of my time was spent on the Notre Dame," she says,

The latest trailer for AC is called Time Anomaly. It sends the protagonist escape from Revolutionary France as a virtual reality dawns upon him.

The lead player character lands on the tracks of Paris' underground railway system and will be found at the Eiffel Tower in the middle of a World War II air raid.

"Time Anomaly" is the first game in the franchise designed for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, following the 2013's Black Flag.

The game will feature 10,000 Parisians on screen at a time. Great pains were takrn to make the game more like 1789 Paris. It even showcases lots of interior locations and underground tunnels to explore.

Assassin's Creed: Unity launches on November 11 on PS4, Xbox One, while the Windows PC version for Japan release is on December 4.
