Taiwanese actress and author Lin Ching Hsia, otherwise known as Brigitte Lin, is celebrating her 60^th birthday today, November 3, and has planned to hold an event at the mansion that her husband, Michael Ying, has given her as a gift. The actress is said to have also planned to share her latest book, 'Yun Qu Yun Lai', with her friends as a part of the celebration.

Brigitte Lin is 60 years old now and as a way to celebrate her birthday, the actress reportedly threw a party today at her mansion. At the same time, she will be giving her third book among her friends during the party.

According to Taiwanese media reports, the book, 'Yun Qu Yun Lai', which was released just this year, contains some 23 compositions by the actress-turned-writer. Said pieces, according to media outlets, are said to contain Lin's deepest thoughts.

Furthermore, the actress is said to have read five of the 23 pieces aloud and has recorded audio book versions of 'Yun Qu Yun Lai'. The actress is also said to have presented the guests at her party with a copy of the book as well as the audio version of it.

On the other hand, media outlets have reported that Lin has approached Pai Hsein Yung and Zhang Yi He, both famous authors, to help her write the prologue of her new book.

Furthermore, the book is said to contain Lin's thoughts about Leslie Cheung, the late famous Hong Kong actor who also happened to be her friend. According to the Lin, she refuses to pass by the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Hong Kong where she and Cheung used to have heartfelt chats with each other. It also happened to be the place where the actor committed suicide, jumping off from the 24^th floor in 2003. Furthermore, she stated that she doesn't want to remember the incidents that happened at the hotel, afraid she might become sad over it again.

As for Lin's career, she made her acting debut when she was only 17 years old. In 2008, the actress released her very first book 'Star of the East', also beginning her writing career.
