Songbird Mariah Carey is really high maintenance and she just gave the word "diva" a whole new meaning. Reportedly, the star has revealed how much she charges just so she could look presentable.
This has been revealed by a photographer who has filed a lawsuit against the star claiming that Mariah's record label has cancelled the singer's album cover even though they've already done the photo shoot.

According to the lawsuit, Mariah has charged around US$85,000 to look presentable. The photographer laid out the division of that hefty amount of money citing the following: Stylist- US$65,391; Hair Stylist- US$9,600; Makeup Artist- US$7,200; and her Manicurist- US$2,400. Apparently, this is what her appearance amounts to so she could look great in front of the cameras.
Being a musical icon for the past 25 years, Mariah definitely deserves such treatment but the photog pressed that he needs to be paid US$150,000. However, the record label has countered this noting that they did not agree on the terms of the contract so there was nothing breached at all.
The star is on her tour as of the moment but reports have surfaced about her axing a local performer during her Australian tour just because she was a female.
According to a local artist named Natalia, she was told at the last minute that she would no longer be needed to perform in the show as a support act for Mariah. Natali then talked to 2Day FM pressing that she was crushed.
Natalia added that it was her absolute dream but while waiting for her performance before the support act of a certain Nathaniel. Apparently, they told her: "Sorry Nat, she doesn't want a female". She added that people were saying Mariah was threatened resulting to her getting axed.
A representative of Mariah responded about the rumors and denied that Mariah did not have a hand in the decision of removing Natalia's act. The representative said: 'We can confirm unequivocally that Mariah did not know anything about this decision, nor was she responsible for it.'
