Following claims that Lee "Uncle Poodle" Thompson may seek temporary custody of his niece, Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson, Uncle Poodle allegedly wants to star in a New York spin-off to their family reality show and he wants Honey Boo Boo and Mike "Sugar Bear" Thompson to be part of it.

If Uncle Poodle fails to get temporary custody of the child, she might not be making any guest appearances on his potential show, since it seems that Sugar Bear and "Mama June" Shannon are angry at the fact that he wants to take their daughter away.

The prospective new series is said to have been prompted by an online petition that seeks to have Uncle Poodle and Sugar Bear star in a spin-off.

Backed up by the said petition, Uncle Poodle and his fiancé Alan have allegedly pitched the ideas to producers, who have agreed to the show and are willing to move them to New York City for it.

However, Uncle Poodle will only agree to the series if Honey Boo Boo is allowed to appear on it because according to him, he "doesn't want Honey Boo Boo to be punished for the mother's misdeed".

Shannon is said to have rekindled her romance with former boyfriend, convicted child molester Mark McDaniel, whom her daughter Anna Cardwell accused of sexually abuse when she was only 9 years old.

Uncle Poodle, as well as other members of the family, are worried about the safety and security of Honey Boo Boo, especially since she is currently 9 years old - the same age Cardwell was abused by McDaniel.

On the other hand, Shannon's other daughter with Sugar Bear, 14-year old Lauryn a.k.a. "Pumpkin," has condemned her uncle on Instagram for "selling false stories".

Shannon has denied that she has entered into a relationship with McDaniel, despite damning pictures of McDaniel, herself and Honey Boo Boo while they went house hunting together.
