Hong Kong actor Ruco Chan's driving license has reportedly been suspended for another six months after he was caught driving over the speed limit in Tseung Kwan O last August.
Media reports state that Chan was caught speeding in the Tseung Kwan O area and was allegedly photographed by street cameras. The actor is said to have been driving 60 miles per hour on a road that had a speed limit of 30 miles per hour the night he was caught.

On November 4, Chan went to court for a hearing on his violation. He was eventually mandated to pay a HK$1,500 fine (about US$193). Furthermore, the presiding judge decided to suspend the 37-year-old actor's driving license for six months despite not having previous traffic violations.
In his defense, Chan said he was rushing to work and had no choice to but to drive faster. However, Chan is not seeing it as an excuse and had admitted that he was wrong to go over the speed limit.
Chan had been regretful about speeding, explaining that he had been driving through Tseung Kwan O every single day for years now and has never violated any traffic rules.
"I will remember that there are speeding cameras here [in Tseung Kwan O] from now on," said Chan.
Since he would not be able to drive for quite a while, Chan stated that he initially planned to hire a chauffeur who would drive him to his destinations so he could stick to his busy schedule. However, he said later he had changed his mind and found a way to commute around the city and save money.
