Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto announced Wednesday that Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask will be here by Spring 2015.

Eiji Aonuma, Legend of Zelda series producer, said three years ago that Majora's Mask remake for the Nintendo 3DS was "not an impossibility."

"One of the big things that made this remake possible was that there was an outpouring of emotions from people who said they would like to see this game done. I think certainly if there was a similar output of emotion and clamor from fans for a remake of Majora's Mask, it wouldn't be an utter impossibility," Aonuma said in 2011.

Nintendo Direct revealed the cult-favorite puzzle mystery will be available in spring 2015. The game may possibly be the creepiest and most surreal in the Legend of Zelda franchise.

The semi-sequel to Ocarina of Time 3D will likely have improved visuals, bug fixes and a 3D mode. Nintendo, however, didn't reveal if any additional content would be added to the off-the-wall entry in the Zelda canon.

Majora's Mask is one of the darkest and most mechanically creative Zelda games when it comes to emotional impact and timbre.

"Whenever there is a meeting, a parting is sure to follow. However, that parting need not last forever ...," Nintendo stated on its YouTube page.

Majora's Mask will be available at launch, For the pre-order in a special edition will include Steelbook, the game itself, a Majora's Mask pin badge and a double-sided Majora's Mask poster

Although the company didn't discuss the exact price of the game, it will likely cost US$40.
