In an announcement, NBC said that the studio anticipates the coming of the Oscar- and Emmy-nominated star into their musical show.

"We're thrilled to have Minnie as part of this Peter Pan adventure," NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt said.

Driver's role will appear in the final emotional scene when Peter revisits the Darling home years after, only to realize that Wendy is now a grown up woman and has a daughter of her own, Greenblatt continued.

Driver will join the Peter Pan cast, which also features the performance of Christopher Walken as Hook and Girls star Allison Williams, who plays Peter Pan in green tights and a pixie cut.

But audience won't see Driver perform.

"You'll also hear her voice throughout the movie since Adult Wendy is also our narrator," Greenblatt said.

Greenblatt said that Driver's presence (voice, perhaps?) will add a touch of class to the TV sequel of the famous children's story-turned-animated film.

She now tars on NBC's About a Boy.

Her latest movie outing, the drama Beyond the Lights features her as a domineering stage mother.
