Taiwanese superstar Jay Chou has been named as Taiwan's highest earning celebrity of 2014 after bagging an estimated 618 million NTD through endorsements, promotions and concerts.
After being named as the highest earning artist in Taiwan this year, it looks like the singer-actor's career isn't slowing down any time soon. According to Taiwanese media reports, after a total of nine endorsements, 21 successful concert shows and five mall promotions, Chou has earned an amount of 618 million NTD.

Despite being spotted on vacations with his girlfriend, Australian-Taiwanese celebrity Hannah Quinlivan numerous times earlier this year with speculations saying that he had also been very busy preparing for his upcoming wedding, Chou still has the power to command high compensation for his appearances in events.
Based on media outlets, Chou, who starred in the Hollywood film 'Green Hornet' as Kato, has earned a sum more than 6 million NTD just for making an appearance in a magic program.
On the other hand, Chou's former girlfriend, Taiwanese diva Jolin Tsai, was listed as the second highest earning celeb in the country with her paycheck amounting to around 578 million NTD. However, if the female singer would hold a concert this year, it is said that her earnings would surpass that of Chou.
Coming in third place is singer-actor Show Luo who is said to have earned a total of 560 million NTD this year. A huge percentage of his earnings is said to have come from endorsements which contributed 399 million NTD into his total income this year.
Wang Lee Hom came in fourth place. The singer seems to be very lucky this year because after the birth of her daughter, she has also earned a healthy sum of 435 million NTD.
Other artists who were able to make it on the list include Taiwanese girl band SHE, earning 398 million NTD, followed by diva Elva Hsiao. The boy band Mayday, JJ Lin and Rainie Yang also made it to the top 10 list.
