At leats six people were injured in a knife attack at a train station in Guangzhou, the latest of a series of knife attacks in China this year, local media reported Tuesday.
Police said four knife-weilding men attacked people Tuesday morning but the police were quick to respond, resulting to the death of one of the attackers. Two other suspects managed to escape while another one was arrested.

The incident occurred this morning, with police and ambulances arriving on the scene by 11:30, and the station was evacuated shortly after. Police then cordoned off the plaza in front of the station.
There are no reports as to the extent of the injuries, but all six victims have been hospitalized and are in stable condition.
The People's Daily reported that there were four perpetrators involved and police opened fire on the suspects after they ignored warnings to drop their weapons.
The attack is the latest in a string of violent episodes which have occurred at transportation hubs in major Chinese cities.
This is the third attack on a Chinese railway station since March and the second in the last seven days.
Last week, an explosion occurred at a train station in Urumqi resulting in three dead and 70 injured and on March 1 a knife-wielding perpetrator attacked civilians at the Kunming Railway Station killing 29 people and wounding 130.
Both attacks were blamed on Islamist extremists from the Muslim Uighur ethnic minority which primarily resides in the far-western region of Xinjiang.
The government has frequently referred to attackers in these cases as "terrorists" although critics claim these violent incidents are the result of China's heavy-handed policies towards Muslim Uighur groups.
No motive has been given for the most recent bout of violence and there is no word as to whether or not it can also be attributed to the same extremist groups.
After last week's attack, President Li had issued statements vowing to take extra measures to prevent further terrorist activities in the country. One of the promised measures is to arm more police with guns.
