If you google Leighton Meester, you'd get more than 3.5 million search results and a majority of those pages would involve projects she was tied to when she was still a young actress.
The actress became a household name when she was cast as Blair Waldorf in the TV adaptation of the Gossip Girl Book Series, produced by the CW. In the show she portrayed a relentless and snobby entitled teenager from the Upper East Side of New York City.

But that character is far from Meester's real-life personality. The actress is usually soft-spoken and nervous during interviews, sometimes to the point where it seems awkward to ask her particular questions about her personal life.
The 28-year old recently released her first album and fans were ecstatic seeing as the album has been a couple years delayed. Meester only released a few singles during her Gossip Girl days but never got to release a full length album, until now.
The album entitled "Heartstrings" was released last week and was produced by Meester's very own music label Hotly Wanting Records. The release was also supported by her friends from Vagrant Records.
"Heartstrings" is described as an album with a mixture of noir-y-indie rock with tracks such as the anthemic folk pop "Good for you" and the Beach boys-esque ballad "LA."
The actress also revealed in an interview that she is thinking of going on tour, but is still in the process of planning it.
Heartstrings can be purchased via iTunes.
