PepsiCo is currently testing an unusual mash-up of Doritos and Mountain Dew, appropriately called "Dewitos."
After the image of Doritos-flavored Mountain Dew appeared on various social media sites last week, a Pepsi spokesman confirmed the existence of Dewitos.
"We are always testing out new flavors of Mountain Dew, and giving our fans a voice in helping decide on the next new product has always been important to us. We opened up the DEW flavor vault and gave students a chance to try this Doritos-inspired flavor as part of a small program at colleges and universities," said a PepsiCo statement.

Twitter users that saw the image of Dewitos quickly judged the unique orange-colored beverage.
"Mtn Dew was on campus & we got to try the new dew flavored and there was a DEWritos (sic) and it tasted like Doritos and I'm freaked out," a tweet from Bridgette Parkins, a student at Kansas State University.
A Redditor was the first person to disclose Dewitos to netizens. The user tried Dewitos at Kent State University.
He stated that the PepsiCo is offering several different varieties of Mountain Dew during its product-testing event. Lemon ginger, mango habanero and a rainbow sherbet are all included, the user said.
The Redditor described Dewitos as disgusting. It tastes like orange with an aftertaste of Doritos. But the beverage tasted like real Doritos afterwards, however.
The user added it's like shoving a handful of Doritos into your mouth and drinking some Mountain Dew all the same time.
