Despite her husband director Oxide Pang being caught having an affair with model Liddy Li, actress Angelica Lee has stated that she has forgiven him and is ready to save their 4-year marriage.
Lee compared her life to acting, saying that in acting, there has to come a point wherein you lose yourself in a character and, a point when you have to get out of character once you're done filming. She said that just like the characters she has played, she is learning how to let go of the pain and the anger she experienced because of the affair.

The actress shared that her religion, Buddhism, has also helped her get over the hurt and the pain, sharing, "I started to meditate and study Buddhism six years ago. Buddhism teaches loves and wisdom, and it has allowed me to become a much calmer person. There are ups and downs in life. As long as you consider these setbacks as opportunities of learning, you will then know how to cherish every encounter."
She also shared that despite the pain that she went through, she is actually very happy with her life and, that she continues to feel fortunate. She shared that she has developed a heart that forgives everyone she meets along in her journey. The star believes that the reason why she got extremely hurt was that because she had "demands", saying that loving someone means not having demands. Not having demands allows you to be free of hurt, she says, adding "Be more broad-minded."
According to the award-winning star, her husband has taught her how to understand the deeper issues she has, as well as the deeper issues of their relationship. She stated that he has taught her how to be a better person, sharing, "He [Oxide] has tested me and given me a chance to do my homework."
