The Chinese embassy in Manila has condemned the "rough treatment" of a Chinese female passenger who was recorded on video camera brawling with a Philippine immigration official at the Manila international airport.
The recorded brawl took place at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3. Local media firm ABS-CBN News broadcast the cellphone vide which showed the immigration official and the woman involved in a violent brawl, according to South China Morning Post (SCMP).

This issue could worsen the tensions between China and the Philippines, which is already heightened because of territorial dispute and the existence of many illegal Chinese workers in the country, the report explained.
The video, which seems to show only a portion of the clash, shows the Philippine officer dragging the Chinese passenger for a few meters before she stands up from her sitting position and hits him several times with her shoe, the report detailed.
The next part of the video shows the official shoving the woman and slapping her repeatedly and pushing her. Two uniformed security officers were also captured in the video watching from nearby, the report said.
What triggered the violent brawl is yet to be confirmed, SCMP added.
According to local media, the Chinese passenger was identified as Jiang Huixing, a 38-year-old Chinese school teacher. She had arrived via a Cebu Pacific flight from Beijing to resume working on Sunday, the report said.
SCMP cited Philippine Bureau of Immigration spokeswoman Maria Angelica Pedro saying Jiang was not allowed to enter the country because she admitted she was working in the Philippines without the right working permit.
Pedro said Jiang "reacted violently" when they told her she would be sent back to Beijing. A female security officer then restrained her but she bit the personnel, the report relayed.
The Manila International Airport Authority said immigration agent Rashid Ramirez intervened in the incident. Pedro, however, said the bureau did not tolerate the way Ramirez treated the passenger, the report relayed.
Siegfried Mison, chief of Philippine immigration, told DZMM radio that Ramirez has already been suspended and is being investigated, the report said.
Meanwhile, Pedro told the Post that Jiang has already returned to Beijing voluntarily.
On Monday evening, two consular authorities visited Jiang before she was deported. The officials filed a complaint with Philippine immigration officials, demanding justice for Jiang, the report stated.
Illegal Chinese workers have been among the causes of tension between China and the Philippines in the past, SCMP reported.
