Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers rally against the Charlotte Hornets to get their first win in the National Basketball Association's (NBA) 2014-2015 season. They won by 15 points, in which the final score was 107-92.
Coming into the third quarter, the Lakers were down by seven. However, a pooled effort by Jeremy Lin and Carlos Boozer launched a 25-6 run that sent them into the fourth quarter to lead at 76-64.

The Lakers held the lead throughout the whole game and subsequently secured the win.
The team looked to have finally come together. Bryant and point guard Jeremy Lin each contributed 21 points to their team's win, while Carlos Boozer added another 16 points.
After five straight losses to start the season, the Lakers finally snapped their losing streak and came out as victors. By the end of the game, the fans were on their feet and purple and gold streamers descended from the ceiling.
The recent game now leaves Philadelphia 76ers as the only team in the NBA without a win.
While the fans were excited, the same atmosphere did not translate into the Lakers' locker room after the game. According to reports, they were all quiet.
Head Coach Byron Scott simply said, "OK, that's one," indicating that there is more work ahead for the Lakers.
"We got to start somewhere," a subdued Bryant added.
The Hornets were not playing badly though. Al Jefferson had 23 points, while Kemba Walker made 17 points for the Hornets. Gary Neal came off the bench and added 10 of his 14 all in the fourth, and Lance Stephenson supported his team with 10 rebounds.
Neal said that the difference in the game was that the Lakers made their shots and they didn't.
"It doesn't matter that the Lakers were 0-5. Any time you have a Hall of Famer like Kobe, you always have a chance to win."
