Oceane Zhu Wants to Continue Her Studies After Her Contract with TVB Expires

Hong Kong actress Oceane Zhu reportedly expressed that she is considering resuming her studies after her contract with TVB, her managing company, ends.

With only a few years left in her contract with the station and entertainment outfit, Zhu stated that she would like to continue her studies once her contract with TVB ends. Back then, the actress had to halt her university studies in order to pursue an acting career in Hong Kong.

The 27-year old actress says that although she would like to finish her studies, she would still want to continue with her acting career. Additionally, she made it clear that she has not made any decisions about the matter yet since her contract is still yet to end.

Before becoming an actress, Zhu studied acting.

On the other hand, the actress was asked to react on the rumors which claimed that TVB is only offering Miss Hong Kong 2014 contestants a sum of $7,000 HKD for their monthly pay. Zhu, who was the winner of the Miss Chinese international pageant back in 2008, denied the claim and stated that her salary when she was only starting with her acting career has never been that low.

Furthermore, as a pageant winner in 2008, Zhu has also decided to sign a contract with TVB just as Miss Hon Kong 2014 winner Veronica Zhu did.

When she was questioned about her upcoming Christmas holiday and acting career, the former beauty queen revealed that she will be filming 'Captain of Destiny' which is set in Hengdian, China. The drama she will be starring in features an epic about the legendary Cantonese pirate named Cheung Po Tsai which will be portrayed by Tony Hung.

'Captain of Destiny' also features Hong Kong stars Ruco Chan, Maggie Shiu, Elliot Ngok and 2013 Miss Hong Kong winner Grace Chan.
