Taiwanese actress and writer Brigitte Lin, who has just celebrated her 60th birthday last week, revealed that she felt sad when her friend, songstress Teresa Teng, misunderstood her in the past during a talk she had in Hong Kong last Sunday, November 9.
Lin has been recently invited to host a talk at the University of Hong Kong last November 9 in order to discuss the third book she wrote entitled 'Yun Qu Yun Lai'.

During the conference, the veteran actress who later chose to become a writer, talked about her friendship with Teresa Teng, the Taiwanese singer, whom Lin mentioned misunderstood her one time. This incident with her friend, according to the actress, made her sad.
Lin related that Charlie Chin, who was her co-star in the 1978 film 'Love of the White Snake', expressed his wish to court her. The actress said she and the actor have decided to meet in Paris during that time as she was in town for an event.
The 60-year old actress then revealed that she had to wait for a week before the boss of the production company for said event allowed her to leave, so she agreed to meet the actor. However, when she went back to Taiwan, she was surprised that the media wrote that Chin met Teng instead of her.
Lin said that the news did not bother her in the least since she did not accept Chin's courtship and because it was Teng whom the media mistook for her. She later explained that during that time, she met with the singer at a hotel, but Teng was with a reporter. Not wanting to entertain the media personnel, Lin explained that she walked away from Teng without saying anything, not even a greeting.
According to Lin, Teng misunderstood her course of actions and thought she was afraid and wished to avoid her. "I was really sad," says Lin about the incident.
On the other hand, Lin explained the title of the book, saying that the word 'yun' means 'clouds', and the book was a way for her to remember her close friends and family members who have already passed away.
