Instagram Finally Lets Users Edit Captions

Instagram's latest update finally allows captions to be edited or deleted. This fixes a flaw that's long frustrated users.

In the past, Instagram was the only social media platform where captions couldn't be edited. The latest update allows photo captions to be edited even if it's been posted.

This update, or version 6.2.0, is live in the App Store. There's also a new discovery tool in the Explore tab with a couple of minor design changes. This update also lets users edit the location of the photo.

Comments about friends' or followers' photos can't be edited, however.

The IG discovery tool called Explore has a magnifying glass icon instead of the compass users are used to. Users can now browse new content two ways: by photos or by people.

The two tabs are alongside each other and you can easily switch to narrowly search for what you're looking for.

Explore can let you browse for people or photos that interest you. The system based it on what or who you're following; posts you've liked and photos trending in a location near you.
