Rick Ross, rapper and founder of record label Maybach Music Group, just bet $100,000 that the Miami Heat will finish with a better record than the Cleveland Cavaliers by the end of the National Basketball Association's (NBA) season.

Even after Lebron James left the Heat, the rapper who was previously a parole officer continues to support his team. His comments indicate that despite the loss of the superstar, he is confident the Heat are still a much better team than the Cavaliers.

"We most definitely finishing better than the Cavaliers. I'll put 100 grand on that," Ross said.

Ross even commented on James going back to the Cavaliers, saying that he wouldn't go up there for any amount of money. He is adamant that if he were a basketball star, he wouldn't ever go to Cleveland despite any offer.

He even weighs in his two cents on the team's performance post James, saying that the Heat will definitely play better without him.

"I feel like we'll be more balanced this year," James said. "You know [James] is most definitely one of the greatest ever, if not the greatest...but he brings a lot of baggage, too."

Currently, the Heat are 5-2. This is a much better record than the Cavaliers, who are sitting on 3-3, with their team unable to pull together despite the recently acquired big three.

Heat players Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh are contributing a lot to their team's success. Norris Cole also steps up and fills James' shoes as part of the Heat's new big three.

Dan Devine of Ball Don't Lie, reports that as of Wednesday, the Heat possesses the fourth best offense in the league. The team averages 108.3 points per 100 possessions through seven games.

Their assist rates are also up with Dwyane Wade taking control of the ball.
