World's Tallest And Shortest Men Meet In London

(Photo : Reuters) The world's shortest man Chandra Bahadur Dangi greets the tallest living man Sultan Kosen to mark the Guinness World Records Day in London. Kosen measuring 251cm, towers over Dangi who is only 54.6cm tall. The Guinness World Records celebrates its 60th edition of the annual records book.
An extreme pair, the world's tallest and shortest men, met in London during an event organized by the Guinness World Records to celebrate "Guinness World Records Day".
These two men were only two of the numerous guests of the organization as they celebrate the day trying to break the world records, such as banging heads, catching spears, and even throwing thongs.

The world's tallest man, Sultan Kosen, is from Turkey and stands 2.51 meters tall while the shortest man, Chandra Bahadur Dangi, is from Nepal and stands 55 centimeters tall.
Kosen is said to be a 31-year-old farmer while Dangi is 74 years old. The two were photographed shaking hands at the Houses of Parliament in London.
Kosen said in a statement, "I was very interested how tall he was going to be, about how far up my legs he would go, and of course once I saw him I realized how tiny he was."
He added that meeting the world's shortest man was amazing but pressed that it was difficult to pose for photographs in order to make ends meet. In addition, Kosen shared that he has a problem with his knees. If he stands too long, he gets tired. Kosen also said that despite their difference in height, they share similar struggles throughout their lives. When he looks into Dangi's eyes, Kosen claims he can see a good man.
Aside from being the tallest man on Earth, Kosen also holds the record of having the biggest hands in the world as it measure 28.5 centimeters from his wrist to the top of his fngers.
As for Dangi, he suffers from a condition called primordial dwarf. He makes placemats and head straps for a living and sells it to villagers who carry heavy loads.
He said, "I was very pleased to see the tallest man in the world, I was curious to meet my extreme opposite." Dangi added also that he was pleased to hold a record and thanked the people who visited his country to discover him.
