Gaza TV Teaches Children to Hate and "Shoot" Jews

A Gaza television station operated by the Hamas is teaching children to hate Jews and to value acts of martyrdom such as blowing oneself up.

The Al Aqsa, the Hamas' official channel, has been airing pro-terrorism doctrines through the children's program "Pioneers of tomorrow", reportedly with full blessings from Gaza authrorities.

Hamas is the main Islamist movement in the Palestinian territories.

A recent episode of "Pioneers of Tomorrow" showed a young three to four-year-old girl vowing to become a police officer when she grew up so that she could "shoot the Jews".

The children's show features large, cuddly characters which are killed off and represented as martyrs to young viewers.

The most recent episode revealed a giant, huggable bee which encouraged children to hurt Jews, and past characters have included a rabbit, bear, and a large Mickey-Mouse type character, all of which were martyred off.

Experts say that the hateful nature of these shows, as well as their indoctrinating messages, are reminiscent of children's cartoons shown in Nazi Germany in the 1930s, all of which presented warped characters in order to demonize Jews.

Officials believe that children in Middle Eastern countries such as Gaza are indoctrinated with an education of hate, in part due to the US' large involvement in certain nations in that part of the world.

Most recently, the Palestinian Authority announced it would be sending 3,000 police to Gaza in order to assist in reconciliation between Palestinian factions. However, it is widely assumed that the training and funding for these officers comes directly from countries like the US.

Experts further say that anti-Semitism is a common theme on Arab TV in the Middle East, with shows in Egypt and Lebanon highlighting and encouraging violence and hateful behavior in children.
