Rumors about Yang's discord with her in-laws have been circulating ever since she got married to the actor-singer. Speculations that the actress was acting tyrannical when dealing with her parents-in-law came to light again a few months after she gave birth to her daughter.
However, despite the numerous rumors that have been making the actress look like a bad daughter-in-law, Yang revealed that she gives her in-laws the respect they deserve as her elders. Apart from that, the actress shared that she sees Hawick's parents as her friends.
"They are very open-minded and are willing to talk about anything with me," says Yang, adding that her mother-in-law had been most considerate, making soup for the actress while she was pregnant and after. Yang claimed that her complexion after giving birth wasn't so bad, saying that it was because of her mother-in-law's soup.
Furthermore, Yang shared that whenever rumors about them would surface, her mother-in-law would buy a published copy of it so they can all read about it and enjoy a good laugh. To back her words, Lau Dan, Hawick's father, even told a reporter not to pay any attention to the rumors which claim that Yang is a terrible daughter-in-law.
On the other hand, Hawick also stated that his parents and his wife are in complete harmony with each other and it has always been that way.
