Following the news where Lin has challenged Yu to come clean about his comments and say who the actress he detests was, the producer has uploaded more cryptic messages, which sparked anger among the actress' fans.
Previously, it has been reported that Yu Zheng mentioned hating an unspecified Taiwanese actress who worked him. The only hint he revealed about said actress was that her popularity faded and that she is enjoying popularity now due to his efforts. Sin Lin is the only actress from Taiwan who worked with him, the media and public alike speculated that he was talking about none other than the actress.
Although Lin has taken his comments lightly and calmly addressed it despite not being confirmed, her fans were not able to stand the producer's comments and retaliated online, leaving hate messages and comments on his post that was allegedly addressed to Lin. The fans seemed to have shown their great admiration to the actress by defending her against Yu.
However, after receiving the unpleasant messages, Yu posted yet another message, this time, to insult both the actress and her fans.
In his post, Yu wrote, "From the quality of the fans, you can tell what type of character the idol is." He then cited that good idols would guide their fans in terms of speech and be a good role model to them by eliciting positivity. Yu further stated that idols must not encourage fans t use words as weapons in order to release anger.
He then stated that it is inevitable for public figures to make mistakes, however, he pointed out that is important to keep things as such to one's self and not to spread it around. "Hate and love are just feelings," wrote Yu. "Don't make it into a bigger deal than it is if you're not guilty and get to the point!"
In response to Yu's post, Lin, who didn't want to continue the argument further, also posted a message saying that people need to be mature about dealing with a complicated world. She also stated that not everything is within a person's control. To end her post, she wrote, "I will not take the rumors to heart and take part in unnecessary arguments!"
